Level 2 Yoga Teacher Training 300hr
Five Key Areas:
1. Techniques Training/Practice
Includes asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, mantra, meditation, and other traditional yoga techniques. These hours will be a mix between (1) analytical training in how to teach and practise the techniques and (2) practice of the techniques themselves; both areas will receive substantial emphasis. Contact hours in this category are dedicated and limited to areas that fall within the scope of traditional yoga studies.
2. Teaching Methodology
Includes principles of demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the student’s process of learning, and business aspects of teaching yoga.
3. Anatomy & Physiology
Includes both human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.). The studies will include both the subject and application of its principles to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc). 10 hours will be spent applying Anatomy & Physiology principles to yoga. There will be an open book exam after our Anatomy and Physiology content.
4. Yoga Philosophy/Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers
Includes the study of yoga philosophies, yoga lifestyle, and ethics for yoga teachers.
Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching and hearing/giving feedback. Also includes assisting students while someone else is teaching.
A minimum of 5 contact hours will be spent actively teaching (not assisting or observing others teach). All these subjects provide training in teaching for beginners, progressive beginners, progressive, intermediate levels and advanced levels.

Strategies for building a successful and profitable yoga business.
Sy932 Voice Projection & Communication Skills
Learning how to use your voice to create different emphasis and dynamics during a class. Learn how to deal with difficult students, different personality types and emotion during a yoga class.
Sy918 Teaching for Special Needs/using props Modifications
Strategies for customising teaching methodologies to suit diverse students and environments beyond the general class situation. Learning how to useprops safely and how to modify asanas appropriately including pre and post natal and childrens yoga teachings.
Sy919 Applied Anatomy and Physiology
Human anatomy and physiology with the depth and focus necessary for safe and effective teaching.
Sy933 Yoga Therapy
Observe and assess possible imbalances and learn how to tailor a practice for a client.
Sy909 Learning Yoga Philosophies
Studying Yoga Philosophies and its history.
Sy926 Ayurvedic Medicine and Yoga
This unit teaches the unity and approaches of Ayurvedic Medicine and Yoga.
Ashram codes of conduct and implementing Yama’s and Niyama’s in everyday life.
Practise teaching , receiving feedback, observing/evaluating others teaching. Hearing/giving feedback. Assisting/adjusting students while others are Teaching. Learning adjustments.
